Lenden — Common Wallet

A seamless digital wallet experience for everyday cashless payments

Lenden is a common wallet and cashless payment app concept designed to simplify everyday digital transactions and provide users with a more convenient way to manage payments from a single platform.

This personal project focused on understanding user needs, identifying usability challenges, and transforming those insights into a simple, intuitive, and scalable mobile wallet experience.

Project Overview

  • Project Type: Personal Project
  • Role: UX Researcher & UI/UX Designer
  • Platform: Mobile App
  • Tools: Figma
  • Focus: UX Research, User Experience, UI Design, Design System & Prototyping

The Challenge

Digital payment users often interact with multiple payment methods and services to manage their everyday transactions. This can make the experience feel fragmented and unnecessarily complicated.

The goal of this project was to explore how a common digital wallet could bring essential payment experiences together in one simple and user-friendly interface.

The Goal

Design a digital wallet experience that is:

  • Simple and easy to understand
  • Fast and convenient for everyday payments
  • Consistent across the entire product
  • Scalable for future features
  • Accessible to users with different levels of digital experience

UX Research

I started the project by researching user behavior, expectations, and common pain points around digital wallets and cashless payments.

The research helped me understand how users interact with payment apps, what information they need during transactions, and where unnecessary complexity can affect the overall experience.

Key Research Focus
  • Digital payment behavior
  • Common wallet usage patterns
  • Payment-related pain points
  • User expectations
  • Information hierarchy
  • Ease of navigation and transaction flow

These insights became the foundation for the product’s UX direction.

User Experience

After understanding the users and their needs, I worked on structuring the overall experience and defining the key user flows.

The focus was to reduce unnecessary steps and make important actions—such as sending money, making payments, checking balance, and reviewing transactions—easy to discover and complete.

Wireframes

I translated the initial UX ideas into low-fidelity wireframes to establish the basic structure, navigation, and information hierarchy before moving into visual design.

This stage helped me test the overall layout and user flow without being distracted by colors, typography, or visual styling.

Mid-Fidelity Design

Once the core structure was established, I developed mid-fidelity screens to refine the interface, spacing, hierarchy, and interaction patterns.

This stage helped bridge the gap between the initial wireframes and the final visual interface.

Design System

To maintain consistency throughout the application, I created a dedicated design system covering the core visual and UI components.

The system included:

  • Color styles, Typography, Buttons, Input fields, Cards, Icons, Navigation components, UI states, Spacing and layout rules

The design system also makes the product easier to scale and maintain as new features are introduced.

High-Fidelity UI Design

With the UX structure and design system established, I moved into the final high-fidelity UI design.

The interface was designed around clarity, simplicity, and usability, while maintaining a modern visual language suitable for a digital financial product.

The final screens bring together the research insights, refined user flows, design system, and visual design into a cohesive product experience.

Final Experience

The final concept delivers a streamlined digital wallet experience where users can manage their everyday cashless payment activities through a single, consistent interface.

From onboarding and wallet management to payments and transaction history, each interaction was designed with the user’s needs and ease of use in mind.

My Design Process

Research → User Experience → Low-Fidelity → Mid-Fidelity → Design System → High-Fidelity → Prototype

This project allowed me to work through the complete product design process—from understanding the problem and users to creating a polished, scalable digital product experience.

What I Learned

Working on Lenden helped me strengthen my understanding of designing financial products where clarity, trust, and simplicity are especially important.

It also gave me an opportunity to explore how research-driven UX decisions can influence the structure and visual design of a complete mobile product.
